Senior Manager, Finance & Accounting

Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, with a proven track record of effectively managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to strategic decision-making. The Accounting and Finance Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of the company while providing leadership to the finance team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Management: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis. Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives. Monitor financial performance and provide insightful analysis to senior management. Prepare and present financial reports, statements, and projections to executive leadership.
2. Accounting Operations: Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and company policies. Reconcile financial discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
3. Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and file accurate and timely financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory reports. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry best practices. Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process.
4. Cash Management: Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs. Optimize working capital by effectively managing receivables, payables, and inventory.
5. Team Leadership and Development: Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Conduct regular performance evaluations and goal-setting for team members.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (8+ years) in accounting and financial management, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and tax laws.
• Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate across departments and communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong leadership skills and experience managing a finance team.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have (but not mandatory)

• Having experience with financial software such as QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems commonly used in the IT industry can be advantageous.
• Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques, as well as the ability to extract actionable insights from financial data, can provide an edge in making informed strategic decisions.
