Role

This role involves a comprehensive range of financial and accounting responsibilities, requiring a strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas for cost reduction or revenue enhancement. Provide insights and recommendations to the management team based on financial analysis.
  2. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. Manage accounts receivable, monitor outstanding invoices, and work to minimize overdue payments.
  3. Cash Management: Monitor cash flow and liquidity, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet operational needs. Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for banking transactions, investments, and credit facilities.
  4. Financial Systems and Technology: Utilize accounting software and financial tools to record, track, and analyze financial transactions. Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  5. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and HR, to gather and analyze financial data for decision-making. Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA qualification is a plus).
  • Proven experience (1+ years) in financial management, accounting, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, QuickBooks, or ERP systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant tax laws and regulations.

Nice to Have (but not mandatory)

  • Experience with data visualization tools for enhanced financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS) in addition to local GAAP.
  • Experience with process improvement initiatives, such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Strong presentation skills for effectively communicating financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
