IT and Network Manager

Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced IT and Network Manager to lead our technical team and ensure the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity, security, and efficiency of our technology systems, and it offers the opportunity to contribute to strategic IT decisions while managing day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership: Lead and manage the IT team, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team’s success.
2. IT Infrastructure: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks and systems.
3. Security Management: Implement and maintain robust security measures to protect our data, networks and systems from potential threats and breaches.
4. Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors for IT-related services, including procurement, contracts and ongoing relationship management.
5. Troubleshooting: Quickly address and resolve IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and providing timely support to staff.
6. Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic IT planning, budgeting and technology roadmap development to support the organization’s growth and goals.
7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure IT aligns with business needs and contributes to overall company success.
8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for systems, processes and policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven 5+ years of experience as an IT Manager or in a similar technical leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, security, and systems administration.
• Experience with cloud services and virtualization technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have (but not mandatory)

• Certifications in relevant IT domains (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, ITIL).
• Having additional cybersecurity certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) can set you apart.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) can be advantageous, especially if the company is considering or already using cloud services for IT infrastructure.
